12th Employees' Recognition and Testimonial Dinner The Board of Directors of the Miguelunda Educational Corporation tendered the 12th Employees' Recognition and Testimonial Dinner on April 22 at the Mandarin Hotel Ballroom, Makati City. Awardees, retirees, and honorees received cash incentives and trophies. Notable honoree is the College President, Dr. Lourdes Almeda-Sese, for having rendered 30 years of service to SMCL. She was bestowed the Milagros L. Limaco Service Award.
SMCL retains the Deregulated Status Saint Michael's College of Laguna (SMCL) retains the deregulated status granted to private higher education institutions (HEI's) by virtue of Commission on Higher Education pursuant to Commission en banc (CEB) Resolution No. 076 - 2009 from March 11, 2009 to March 30, 2014.
SMCL wins 3rd in PACUCOA Case Study Contest Saint Michael's College of Laguna's first attempt to join the Best Case Study Contest of Philippine Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) won third prize.
