SMCL HOLDS 7TH EDUCATORS CONFERENCE
The 7TH Educators’ Conference with the theme, Riding the Winds of Change: Renewal and Transformation was held at St. Theodore on 24 August. It was also the Gathering of SMCL Collaborators from the academe and the industry.
In her welcome address, SMCL President, Dr. Lourdes Almeda-Sese expressed how the College took the daunting task of addressing the formidable challenges and the emergent and emerging realities that have colored and spiced the educational landscape. Focused to bridge the gaps between expectations and attainment, SMCL had initiated and implemented programs and projects deemed appropriate and timely. Thus, the overriding theme, Riding the Winds of Change: Renewal and Transformation.
Two equally outstanding academicians, Dr. Elizabeth Quirino-Lahoz and Dr. Flordeliza Clemente-Reyes inspired the audience with the quality of researches that they did. Dr. Lahoz, President of Technological Institute of the Philippines presented her dissertation, Portrait of Outstanding Filipino School Administrators while Dr. Reyes, Professorial Lecturer of De La Salle University shared her study, Model of Teaching Expertise: The Case of 69 Outstanding Teachers in Higher Education in the Philippines.
