MAZO: Sexual shame and its connection with human nature and love
Prof. Rommel Mazo of De La Salle University, Dasmariñas gave a talk on Sexual Shame and its Connection with Human Nature and Love to the college students on February 14 at Pura Limaco Seminar Hall. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Prof. Mazo kidded, “love is easier lectured than felt”. He startled the audience with graphics and photographs of daring bodies that he utilized in driving a strong point – that sexuality is the source of man’s shame.
His talk was built on the premise of Karol Wojtyla or Pope John Paul II. It stressed on the beauty of the human body and the capacity of every person to look at things in a positive sense. Prof. Mazo answered all the queries of the audience on love, sex and shame. He ended his talk with the statement that “sexual modesty is not a flight from love but on the contrary the opening of a way toward it.
