SMCL recognizes faculty, staff
During the 10th Staff Recognition Day and Testimonial Luncheon held at the Island Cove Resort and Leisure Park, Binakayan, Kawit, Cavite, the Board of Directors bestowed service and merit awards under the Institution’s Program for Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE).
The Milagros L. Limaco Service Award is bestowed to permanent employees who have satisfactorily rendered 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years of continuous service. The awardees receive a plaque of recognition and cash incentives. This year’s awardees are Florencia Castillo (20 years), Randolf David, (20 years) Elena Manalo (15 years), Regina Mapalo (15 years), Vicente Almeda (10 years), Maria Cecilia Dela Cruz (10 years), and Rhona Torres (10 years).
A Posthumous Award was bestowed to Leonila Arevalo Alfonso, General Services Officer in grateful recognition of her remarkable dedication and work ethic in the efficient and effective provision of the requisite College Administrative Support, for her impassioned and inspired efforts as a teacher and a mentor, and her selfless commitment to serve even going above and beyond the call of duty.
Her daughter, an incoming Grade 3 pupil in the SMCL Grade School, was awarded full scholarship for four school years.
Individuals primarily responsible for the major breakthroughs achieved for the Institution were awarded cash incentives and the President’s Citation of Merit. They are Inecita Cuevas, Flora Aguirre, and T-Jay Medina (Best in Student Welfare, National Winner), Leonila Cuasay, Carmelita Espino, and Inecita Cuevas (3-time Emma Conlon International Awardee for Service), Rosalina De Guzman, Elena Manalo, and Nestor Hadi (100% Passing of BSED Class 2006 and 93.33% for BEEd Class 2006 in the August 2006 Licensure Examinations for Teachers), Maria Regina Manabat, Rizaldy Tenido, and Yolanda Abregana (LACOMED Level II Re-Accredited Status Survey Executives).
The College President likewise cited individuals in the organization who went beyond the call of duty during the height of Typhoon Milenyo. They are Zenaida Algaba, Eduardo Aguirre, Ricardo Talavera, Jocelyn Dalicano (for the rehabilitation of the physical plant and facilities); Janet Rosendo, Regina Mapalo and Omega Amor David (for processing/release of payroll).
