Women leaders signup for UNIFEM's campaign

     Three of Laguna's most prominent government female leaders say 'No' to Violence Against Women. Provincial Gov. Teresita S. Lazaro, Santa Rosa City Mayor Arlene A. Nazareno, and Biñan Municipal Mayor Marlyn A. Naguiat signed up for the online campaign of United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM).


The leaders were invited by Golden Z Club of Saint Michael's College of Laguna (SMCL) to affix their name and email address to the UNIFEM website as a sign of support to end domestic violence against women.Golden Z Club officers traveled from Calamba to Biñan to seek the support of government officials. As of presstime, 5,066,549 supporters all over the world have signed up for the campaign to raise awareness on the issue.
