Applying at SMCL

  To be accepted to study at SMCL, interested applicants must go to the Admissions Office.

Application form can be downloaded in this website and/or visit the Admissions Office if you have any questions or if you need additional information:

  Admission Requirements

Applicants for admission should present complete and valid credentials indicating satisfactory performance and should meet the other prescribed admission requirements of their respective departments/divisions.

New freshmen applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

1. Fill up an application form and submit to the Admissions Office together with:

   a. High School Form 138-A (Report Card);
   b. Certificate of Good Moral Character from the Principal or Class Adviser;
   c. Photocopy of Birth Certificate;
   d. Two (2) 1 x 1 colored pictures; and
   e. For BSED and BEED, a general average of eighty five (85%) or if lower, the applicant       should pass the teacher's aptitude test.

2. Take the SMCL Entrance Examination.

Transferees from other schools must comply with the following requirements:

1. Prepare the following documents to be attached to the application form.

   a. Transfer Credential
   b. Transcript of Records for evaluation. If not available, certified true copy of grades       signed by the Registrar;
   c. Certification of Good Moral Character from school last attended;
   d. Recommendation letter from the Dean or his designate;
   e. Photocopy of Birth Certificate; and
   f. Two (2) 1 x 1 colored pictures

2. Take the SMCL Entrance Examination.

3. Pass an interview with the Department Head or Principal. Signature of parent or guardian consenting to the school's rules and regulations is required prior to registration.

Transferees with failing grades will not be eligible for acceptance in any department.

For entering High School students:
  1. Submit the following documents:
    • Elementary Report Card
    • Birth Certificate
    • Certificate of Good Moral Character

  2. Pass the SMCL Entrance Examination.
Transferees are required to pass an interview with the Principal. No transferees with academic failures will be accepted.

For entering Grade School pupils:
  1. Submit the following documents:
    • Report Card (for transferees)
    • Birth Certificate
    • Certificate of Good Moral Character

  2. Pass the SMCL Entrance Examination.
