Student Activities




Student Development


The Student Development Center aims to assure the smooth and balanced implementation of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of the different student groups from the student council to batch organizations and recognize student clubs.


It ensures that the mission, goals, and objectives of the various organizations are in accord with the vision-mission statement of the College.


It seeks to provide opportunities that would allow students to develop their managerial and leadership potentials and be motivated to get involved in important and relevant issues and concerns.


Student publications. The main concern of the student publications is to provide for the development and the promotion of campus journalism as a critical and creative means of strength and ethical values. It upholds and protects the freedom of the press at the campus level. It serves as an outlet for students' creative expression not only improving their journalistic skills but also developing their moral character and personal discipline. The Michaelean Herald is the official student publication of Saint Michael's College of Laguna. It is funded by Michaeleans thru subscription.



• SMCL Student Publications
The Michaelean Herald is the official student publication of Saint Michael’s College of Laguna. It also publishes its Filipino edition, Pahayagang Miguel.


Culture and the arts. This aims to enhance and promote cultural awareness and appreciation of the different art forms among the members of the SMCL academic community. The unit taps and develops the students' potentials in the various art forms through training, seminars, and workshops. The unit provides the artistic entertainment to the different sectors of the school and promotes the name of the school off campus through cultural programs and activities.



• SMCL Dance Company
SMCL Dance Company is the performing arts arm of the Culture and Arts Unit. Under the CAU are interim arts groups such as Tanghalang Michaelean and Drum and Lyre Corps.


Sports development. The sports programs are designed not only to develop the kinesthetic intelligence of the Michaeleans but also to instill the values of discipline, fair play, teamwork, leadership, and cooperation. It also offers an alternative lifestyle where there is development of character, healthy disposition, and sound mind. The athletes are also regarded as role models in the campus for they contribute to the attainment of peace and goodwill among the Michaeleans. The SMCL Varsity Team is called Archangels.

• Tertiary Education Division (TED) Central Student Council
The TED CSC is the highest governing student body of SMCL, which is democratic and autonomous and fosters harmonious relationship among the school administration, faculty and studentry, promotes academic excellence and moral well-being of the students, and uphold academic freedom.



• Central Student Council – Luisa L. Limaco Senior High School
The LLL SHS CSC is the governing student body of the Luisa L. Limaco Senior High School.




• Central Student Council – Junior High School
The LLL JHS is the governing student body of the Integrated School - Junior High School.



• Central Student Council – Grade School
The LLL GS is the governing student body of the Integrated School - Grade School.




• Michaelean Business Management Society
The MBMS seeks to channel the spirit, skill, and drive of business management students into worthwhile activities that would benefit the Institution and its environs, create among students a synergy between business acumen and strong concern for individual and society, develop among its member a degree of business competitiveness and continuing desire of self-improvement amidst the growing demand of globalism, and establish networks and strategic alliance within other students within and out of school.



• Computer Science Society
The CSS encourages its members to become transformative leaders of technology. It seeks to promote friendship and strong concern for individuals and the society, establish networks and strategic alliance within other students inside and outside the organization, and act as an organizational body that would seek to improve the character, skill, and drive of computer science students into valuable activities that would benefit the institute and its environment.




• Michaelean Educators’ Society
The MES advances and promotes the scholastic and social interest and well-being of its members. It seeks to elevate the standard of scholarship at SMCL and make the proper recommendations, develop a feeling of involvement and concern in the issues that affect the security and well-being of the Filipino nation, and promote honesty and good faith and abide by ethical and spiritual principles.



• Association of Hotel and Restaurant Management Students
The AHRMS assists the School of Business, Management, and Information Technology (Hospitality Management Program) in the realization of the Vision-Mission of the institution or department through peer mentoring, community service, and activities related to the course. It seeks to promote camaraderie and unity among the students of Hospitality Management Program, enable its members to further inculcate in their hearts and minds the Michaelean values of commitment, compassion, competence, loyalty and love, develop among its members a degree of competitiveness and continuing desire of self-improvement amidst the growing demand of globalism, and establish a network and strategic alliance with other students within and out of SMCL.




• Michaelean Nursing Society
The MNS promotes friendship and unity among the students enrolled in the Nursing program, acts as an organizational body that would seek to channel the spirit, skills, and drive of nursing into worthwhile activities that would benefit the institution and its environs, and enables its members to further inculcate in their hearts and minds the Michaelean values of commitment, compassion, competence, loyalty and love.



• SMCL Psychology Society
The SPS advances and promotes the scholastic and social interest and well-being of Psychology students by elevating the standard of scholarship at SMCL, developing a feeling of involvement and concern in the issues that affect the security and well-being of the Filipino nation, promoting honesty and good faith, and abiding by ethical and spiritual principles.




• Michaelean Film Collective
The MFC aims to provide a safe space for students who are interested in media and content creation. Specifically, the group intends to engage young enthusiasts into conversations and workshops pertaining to film and other related media and train Michaeleans in the aspects of visual language and literacy including, but not limited to directing, producing, cinematography, writing, scoring, editing, production designing, and other branches of film and media production.



• Z Club of Laguna
Through the Z and Golden Z Clubs program, Zonta members work to bring Zonta International’s mission to students around the world and to stimulate new and meaningful student-led service and advocacy projects. Z Club provides opportunities for young adults to develop communication and leadership skills, explore career alternatives, and increase their international awareness and understanding through service. Sponsored by Zonta Club of Laguna for JHS.

• Iskolar ng Biñan Club
INB Club at SMCL seeks to advance and promote the educational and social interests and well-being of the city government scholars at SMCL.



• Young Artists Club
YAC brings together students who are interested in art. It aims to increase the number of creative avenues that are more accessible in the campus and support the growth of young Michaelean artists.




SoundTrack 0
SoundTrack 0
(read as Zero) brings together students who value music and poetry. It seeks to provide Michaeleans a creative outlet for their musical talent.



• Michaelean Volunteers’ Society
MVS aims to encourage fellowship and genuine care for people and society, cultivate among students a feeling of accountability and ownership for the activities they commit, and foster active citizenship and participation in their communities and beyond.
